Shopping Provincetown Style

Autumn is a great time for shopping, with lots of options for choosing stylish clothes, seasonal décor for your home, or early Christmas shopping. Whether you're shopping high-end or on a budget, you'll find new colors, end-of-summer sales and striking new autumn styles!
Ladies, you'll love Chameleon, where you can choose a lovely dress that can take you from the office to a night on the town, as well as hats, scarves and jewelry to complete your outfit. They also have a rack of lovely vintage clothes as well – on a recent visit, I found a bunny-soft cashmere sweater ($34) and a classic Banana Republic corduroy blazer! Most new dresses range from $59-150 and from now to October 31st, everything in the store is 25% off.
This year, Mr. Souza has also created exquisite mirrors surrounded in mosaics (made from dishes that he accidentally breaks).
You've also got to check out Mabel D. Orr, which sells designer clothes on consignment, gorgeous handbags by Nancy Pace, and jewelry created by a Brewster artist/designer. Owners (and sisters) Heidi and Muffin have the fabulous ability to help you mix and match pieces to create a stunning outfit, and they carry designers from Talbots and Liz Claiborne all the way to Gucci (I spotted a Gucci evening dress there this summer)! These are pieces that will be part of your wardrobe for years, and the prices are exceedingly reasonable!
If you crave bags, bling, wigs and more, Klymaxx is the place for you! They are much more than the racks of shoulder bags under the canopy outside Aquarium Marketplace. Walk all the way to the back of that canopy and you enter a world of cosmetics, jewelry, drag accessories, wigs, evening bags and more. If you’re planning early for Halloween, they have high-gloss black nails, colorful face glitter, and other items to contribute to the look of any costume or character!
Guys, you’re not left out! At bodybody, you can pick save 25% on all summer swimwear, short-shorts, short sleeve knits and long-sleeved shirts from designers such as Robert Graham, Ted Baker and Billy Reed. While you're there, check out new fall styles by John Varvatos, Hugo Boss Red, Puma Black Label and Comstock & Company. Choose from merino and laine, cashmere and wool coats, Hudson jeans, Citizens for Humanity, and CFDA award-winner and former Ralph Lauren designer Tom Snyder!
You'll find Bravo for Men, offering brands such as Diesel, Ben Sherman, Penguin and Buffalo by David Britton, all at 25% off! Finally, you'll definitely want to stop in at Henry & Co, which is selling its entire stock for 50% off! In addition to clothes, you'll find tons of cool shoes/sneakers, reasonably-priced Palladiums and other UK brands, and great service!
Do you love Halloween? Then you will love some of the deliciously creepy and delightfully decorative collection of Halloween and Day of the Dead items at Forbidden Fruit! Right now, you'll save 20% on these wonderful pieces and everything else in the store, including unique home and garden décor, Sid Dickens Memory Blocks, pillar candles in unusual designs and colors, and selected glassware. For unique and offbeat, whatever the season, you’ll love this little gem of a shop.
For gifts that celebrate the Portuguese history of our town (or a proud Portuguese pal living elsewhere), you’ll find endless treasures at Provincia. Owner Manuel Souza now carries 16 unique lines of dinnerware, to include everything from dinner plates to coffee cups to olive dishes, to decorative items with the traditional “good luck” rooster, all of which are hand painted in Portugal! This year, Mr. Souza has also created exquisite mirrors surrounded in mosaics (made from dishes that he accidentally breaks). All are one of a kind, colorful and artistic, and come in sizes ranging from picture-frame size to pieces that are over three feet tall!
