Winter Dining!

January 9th, 2016

If you're spending a week or weekend mid-winter break in town, there are more options for dining than you might expect. Whether you're looking to warm up after enjoying a brisk hike through the National Seashore, or a leisurely brunch to fuel a day of at PAAM or gallery strolling, you'll find more than a few of our special restaurants providing you with warm, filling and delicious meals to carry you through your adventures and ease you into a relaxing evening! Here are just a few!

This new restaurant is a collaboration between Local 186 co-owner Gui Yingling and Blackfish owner Eric Jansen, which will be open 12-9 pm Wednesday through Sunday for the winter.

The newest choice in Provincetown is the Blackfish Pub pop-up pub venue operating in the Local 186 restaurant space. Opened on January 1st, this new restaurant is a collaboration between Local 186 co-owner Gui Yingling and Blackfish owner Eric Jansen, which will be open 12-9 pm Wednesday through Sunday for the winter. This hybrid of both restaurants features lower-priced comfort foods and pub menu with many tasty choices.

Another popular choice is Mac's Fish House Provincetown, a full-service seafood/sushi/New American venue! They're open for lunch on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and for lunch & dinner from Thursday-Sunday, and offers “Fry Day” on Thursdays, with all-you-can-eat fish and chips for $15. From appetizers to soups and sandwiches, to numerous seafood, meat and vegetarian options, you'll find hearty portions, a lively but casual crowd, and décor with a modern, urban flair!

Fanizzi's, in the historic East End, offers stunning ocean views to accent your wonderful lunch or dinner! It's a favorite spot for locals and visitors alike, especially for their Sunday buffet brunch! It runs from 10 am to 2 pm, and offers an all-you-can-eat smorgasbord for $14.95 for adults and $8.95 for kids under 12! They also offer early-bird dinners from 4:30-6 pm every night, with a choice of five different entrees, a soup or house salad, dinner rolls and coffee or tea for $14.95! Friday nights, they offer their $13.99 Fish Fry dinners, served with a house salad! If you have “space”, try one of their fabulous desserts! They're also open for lunch from 11:30 am to 3:45 pm., and they offer a Kids Menu!

Have you got a craving for Chinese food? Then Kung Fu Dumplings is the spot for you! You'll find wonton and hot & sour soups, several varieties of dumplings, a selection of popular combination plates, and eclectic appetizers. They are also experimenting with offering a rotating selection of new dishes! Prices range from $4-13 for selections and they're open Sunday through Thursdays from 11 am to 9 pm, and 11 am to 10 pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Whether you want a snack or a full meal, check them out! I love their spring rolls, and they are gaining a growing following for their dumplings!

Joon Bar & Kitchen is open select weekends -- check their website for dates; Hideaway and is open for dinner Thursday-Sunday nights; , a favorite Provincetown institution known for its eclectic and international menu, and the 1620 Brewhouse offering New American, burgers, sandwiches and seafood, and will be open every day for lunch and dinner.
