every day of each week from May 2nd through Aug 3rd at 10AM
Curated by: Mike Wright and Breon Dunigan. Women Pioneers brings together about fifty works by women involved in the first fifty years of the Art Association. The focus of PAAM’s origins is traditionally on its founding fathers. The important roles that women played in its history—as founding officers, directors, trustees and exhibiting artists—are sometimes overlooked. Even Marion Campbell Hawthorne remained underappreciated by many until a 1989 PAAM exhibition of her watercolors. Some viewers wondered how such sensitive and technically sophisticated work could have so long remained unrecognized. Admission Charge.
