She has the husky-voiced passion of Bonnie Raitt and the swinging playfulness of Ella Fitgerald. Cadence Magazine has compared her to her jazz songwriting style to Randy Newman, while her mellow pop songwriting is similar to Colbie Caillat and Michael Buble.

String of pearls is a female jazz vocal trio that performs vintage ‘girl group’ music and modern vocal jazz with swing, style, and superb musicality. The group has created a sophisticated repertoire that ranges from authentic recreations of Boswell Sisters songs from the 1930s to adventurous original jazz vocal arrangements. String of Pearls (Holli Ross, Sue Halloran, Jeanne O’Connor on vocals with Fred Boyle on piano, Ron Ormsby on bass, and Bart Weisman on drums) has appeared at the Cabaret Fest in Provincetown, Cultural Center of Cape Cod, and the Provincetown Jazz Festival.
